Quickly combing back through, I believe Fiskersonn's initial design has a pretty substantial moustache as well, so there's one other precedent for facial hair in the battalion, but I won't be upset if you'd prefer to modify something to fit the setting a bit better. You're the one who got to draw it and write the fluff after all, so do what you gotta do.
