You both shared a nod, turned around with a flap of your cloaks, and moved towards your respective interrogation targets. Yours was still hanging upside down from a web cocoon that you glued to the wall. She was struggling slightly, but seemed to relax when she noticed you coming closer.
<span class="mu-r">“Sugar crystals not enough for you? You can literally create life, and you’re using it to rob jewelry stores? You’ll always be small-time if you keep thinking small.”</span>
She gave you an agitated look and muttered something unintelligible. You thought about antagonizing her further by leaving the gag on, but you were running short on time, and couldn’t afford to stick around for very long.
You tore open the bottom of the cocoon to free her mouth, and she spat out a few stray strands of webbing.
<span class="mu-b">“Ugh, what even is this?”</span>
<span class="mu-r">“You know, I’m not entirely sure myself. I’m thinking about going to see a doctor soon.”</span>
The blonde woman opened her mouth to say something, sputtered from another stray strand of webbing entering her mouth, and then struggled to blow a web flap away from her face.
Out of the goodness of your heart, you moved them away from her face and gave her a moment to compose herself. She didn’t look “grateful” exactly, but she seemed slightly mollified by the small courtesy.
