>Return AFYN to Presley after done using it to Subdue Sense, to continue imprinting combat training onto him and not fuck it up too much for him
Sorry for the silence. Never liked TV, lest it was one of my spaghetti westerns.
You gently clean off the flicks of black bile and blood that fell onto AFYN as you toss it over to Felix. He nods, taking the gun back to Presley (Your smug, elvis impersonator android) so you can finally get back into your office.
You sit down in your chair, crowbar still in hand. Your two assistants just silently look over at you, clearly having saw what you were doing down at Sense's cell. You look back at them.
[HOPELESS WRECK] WHAT IS THERE TO SAY? SOME SICK PART OF YOU KINDA LIKED DOING THIS. YOU LEARN MORE THIS WAY.
[HOPELESS WRECK] THERE'S LESS...INTERFERENCE WITH YOUR INSIGHT.
[BOUND BY DUTY] This is masochistic. Don't listen. Just work.
You check up on Presley real quick before moving on to the last few misc actions and dealing with the anomaly work orders. With the gun in hand, his training has been speeding up pretty quickly. It's only been an hour and his skill has jumped up to the point where you could confidently call him "half-decent".
The gun vibrates with every movement Presley makes, as if ordering him on what to do. You flinch a bit when he manages to punch a hole through one of the punching bags.
>ASPECT REVEALED
>MENTOR (Prolonged exposure will increase combat prowess and result in the PARADIGM's other aspects lingering on the wearer)
>Play the "GOOD JOB" tape
You slide the tape into one of the various ports on your console. No better time to watch it than after you dealt with Sense itself.
The first few seconds are just static and some incredibly muffled audio but shortly cuts to what looks to be a home video. The camera wobbles as the operator moves around, filming a young boy (14-15, you'd guess) with white hair.
"You sure about this?" A young girl speaks. "I don't wanna get into trouble..." The camera pans to show a closer look at where they're at. Looks like an abandoned warehouse somewhere on the surface, given the ashy snow. It's dark out.
"Aren't you tired of being ignored?" The boy shakes his head. "We're not in any Nest, none of the companies care enough to even spy on it...fuck, B-Corp doesn't even tap our calls anymore."
"We're nobodies."
"I-I know we are but...brrr." The girl shakes. "There has to be a better option!" She still follows after the boy. The two walk up to a chair with a sheet over it.
The boy pulls the sheet off, revealing a man tied to the chair. A sock is stuffed in his mouth as a gag.
"Have you seen how much attention murders get on TV?" The boy pulls out a knife. "We're going for a new record."
Despite her worries and complaints, the girl does nothing but film as the boy steps closer and closer to the man. He squirms as hard as he can to get out but...
The footage cuts as you hear flesh being pierced and a muffled scream.
