>History
Their founding during the Nova Interregnum had them intended to service a faction of the Scholastia Psykana against a faction of the Officio Assassinorum during the time the Imperium was divided. The grudges from this conflict remain to this day.
The attack dogs of the Scholastia Psykana were once deployed to a world with a higher than average Psyker population to defend it from an attack by the Tyranids, and to evacuate the populace if necessary. But as a result of an Ork Waagh! Hitting the system, the evacuation was ultimately botched. This would have resulted in crippling casualties to the chapter, but a last stand by the local militia and some of the civilians using the evacuation ships in an aggressive role allowed for the chapter to make it clear. Though this came at unfortunate high losses of the world’s population that left this battle as a black mark on their history, it gave the Chapter a high level of respect for the standard Imperial civilians and soldiers.
When word later came of a major genestealer cult, the chapter is considered to have avenged this defeat with the exemplary actions in the resultant crusade.
