>>5927053>Besides, I wouldn't be too interested in doing other routes anywayMy main interest in another route is taking a different approach to our character archetype rather than the story itself. We've played Blair as a straighforward and blunt Commander unit with cavalry movement, I would like to see how the quest would've played out if we weren't giving orders but instead following them. Either playing as an infantry Grunt McGee taking orders from a sub-commander like Sebastian, or playing as one of those sub-commanders whose role isn't to command the whole Warband but to direct their squad of regular joes instead.
Though if we did pick a different House to start fresh with, the story and path this alternate Blair would take would ultimately be different enough to warrant a replay for sure I wager.
For Ashe, the love story itself I feel developed naturally over the course of the early quest due to our actions. Both Blair and Ashe have a very similar backstory, being orphans adopted into nobility after their parents died
(only to have to put to death their foster parent due to circumstances beyond their control, which I find to be an immensly satisfying conclusion considering their relationship) so of course they'd be sympathetic towards eachother, once they truly opened up. After we let him come with us to, and also scored support points with him from our actions at Magdred, and also also baked a cake for him
(which I was the initial proposer of) because we were worried he wouldn't recover from us bringing him to kill Lonato, any other romance option I feel would've been a forced change at best or a directly malicious attempt to ruin the story at worst, so I stuck with it until the end.
I don't regret it, but I wish people understood that hammering the BLAIR HORNY BLAIR HORNY button at every possible moment stops being funny really quickly. But I suppose that would've happened no matter who ended up as our love interest in the end.
