You look down at the weird little trinkets you bought from this shopkeeper. The ECLIPSE TALISMAN seems like a simple talisman that is wearable as a necklace. You wrap it around your neck. There's a gentle warmth around the area it's touching.
>RESTRAINT IS NOW 7/7
The BLESSED CHAINS are a simple clump of golden chains that also feel warm to the touch. A faint glow from an unidentified source surrounds them. Considering what the shopkeeper said, you decide to tie them around your ankle like a cute little bracelet.
The HOLY CANDLE is a greasy lump of wax with an oddly chalky texture when you hold it in your hand. Sigils cover every part of it, including the wick. You simply put this away in your inventory for now.
The small dagger made out of paper you were handed seems remarkably flimsy despite the name it was given. The shopkeeper smirks when she notices your obvious confusion. "That there, sweetie, is a PARADIGM," She leans forward in her chair. "Well, not quite exactly the real deal. You need to earn my trust for that." <<span class="mu-b">"Or perhaps she can do a 'favor'? Kueh kueh kueh."</span>>
"Let's just say it's a fragment of one. Thanks to the help of ol U-Corp's Singularity. It's a good PARADIGM, trust me!"
[ANOMALOUS ABILITIES] To put it in short, a PARADIGM is a powerful piece of anomalous equipment spawned directly from an Anomaly. Either given willingly, made with parts of their body, or forcefully extracted.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] U-Corp is the corporation most interested in them. They seek to 'understand' them on a scientific level and distill the origins of anomalies. That's all you recall.
"I see. Never handled one before." You partially lie. You don't remember holding one but it's very likely you had access to a few during intense mental episodes. It's possible you have some hidden around in your caches, if you had any idea where to look. "I hope it's worth the money. Thank you."
"No problem, kueh~" <<span class="mu-b">"Kueh kueh kueh. Kueh kueh kueh. Kueh kueh-"</span>> You turn away from the weird shopkeeper. You're not getting anything else out of them aside from a fucking brain bleed. You exit the store posthaste.
You willingly tune out your brain and go on auto pilot once you're back onto the streets. If you weren't pressed for time and had a mission to do, you might've taken in the sights more. Your brain snaps back into reality when you're stumbling back into the snow-drenched platform at District 7.
"Benefits of being drugged up." You mutter, dusting off the snow already clinging to your outfit. No voices to keep you distracted on the boring train ride back here. Your posture tenses when you hear two sets of footsteps approaching you.
[PERSON OF INTEREST] Coast's clear.
You turn to see who it is. A man and an android female. Ah, finally, you can actually meet these two face to face. Time to see what they're capable of.
