The trials continued as the sun began to set, which for TalOS was the time for activities to settle down. Without the direct radiation of life from the nearest star TalOS was to cause much more suffering to those around him. Other stars could be used, but they were nothing like the basking of one which had control of an entire planet.
In the end TalOS sparred thirty Dreadnaughts, each with a variety of success while others did not succeed in the test that was presented. Those who were tested knew the honor in not speaking of the tests hidden within the spar, thus TalOS was able to root out those who did not possess the wisdom to know when he was committing the test.
His sons did not see it but TalOS did sustain injuries. How they did not know of the injuries was that TalOS was able to heal with incredible speed. It was subtle, but his knowledge allowed the machines within his flesh to move at a faster rate and transmit their healing works upon his flesh without error.
It would be forgetting that TalOS avoided a great many injuries with these same machines hardening his skin. With more and more practice TalOS might be able to survive direct hits from artillery and plasma based weapons without error. All it took was the time and practice to keep the flow of the Machine Spirits within his skin.
As he was not injured TalOS was kneeling at the feet of another venerable being. The Dreadnaught was staring at him as TalOS tore into the shoulder and began the rerouting of wires with prayers said within every breath.
+Why do you kneel?+ Venerable Koch asked as TalOS successfully released his shoulder socket to fix the metal within.
+You have fought well as a warrior and operator of the Dreadnaught.+ TalOS said as he placed the broken arm before him for examination, +The union between you and the chassis’s spirit is divine, thus as a Priest I see no reason to not venerate such union.+
A wave of discomfort washed towards TalOS, the taste sickening for unlike anger, laughter, or fear it held a limit. A poison that only mankind suffers.
The man within the machine held his tongue as he measured his response. Whatever morals that were within him finally spoke, +I am Venerable, but not an object of Worship. Please to not degrade yourself to that.+
