As Kinzou nears them, the long-haired man immediately turns his attention to him, brows furrowing. You repeat your request. Several times. Finally, just before reaching them, Kinzou slows down and comes to a reluctant halt. The long-haired man lets out a light sigh of relief and relaxes as he addresses Kinzou.
"Child, back away. This man is a dangerous criminal." Takigi lifts his attention from the ground and turns it towards his son. "Kinzou! It's great you-" mid-sentence, Takigi's speech turns into another pained grunt, as the man prevents him from speaking.
「Dad!」The long-haired man raises an eyebrow as he looks between Takigi and Kinzou, before the constant frown on his face deepens. "You would commit such vile deeds when you have a family? Trash."
"I said I was framed! I would never kill any-" <span class="mu-s">"QUIET."</span> The man's hand brushes against the hilt of an ornate sword sheathed at his waist. "If it were not for my duties, I would deal with you where you stand. A great many placed you at the scene of the crime and the weapon is verified to be yours. Acknowledge your crimes, torturer." A tense few moments pass, before he takes his hand away from the sword and steps away, letting go of Takigi.
"I will give the both of you a moment. Do not scheme, whisper, or continue to deny your guilt when it is so clear. Do not attempt to run, or use your son as a shield from punishment. Trying to escape from justice will only make your outcome worse." With that said, the man leans against the wagon, fixing his eyes on Kinzou and Takigi.
Takigi crouches down and hugs his son. His voice comes out choked. "I'm sorry. I don't think I'm going to be around to watch you grow anymore. I love you and your mother, and always will." One of Takigi's fingers passes over to make contact with you. A mental link is established between the three of you.
「Listen closely. The house I was keeping watch from last night didn't belong to Kanekatsu or one of his men. It belonged to one of the village head's grandsons, who lived there alone. I was spotted entering and exiting the home by several people nearby. Later that night, the village head's grandson was found dead inside, tortured and killed with the machete I lost the week before last.」 No transmissions.「...Kanekatsu framed me. I'm certain of it.」
