>>5358273>This is one of those scenarios where they're too proud and domineering to admit how similar they are, isn't it? Both of them very focused on Russia's glorious past, both of them obsessed with their nation being respected and acknowledged for its strength, both willing to enslave others in the name of the greater good. The only difference is which time period their idealize. Soviet or Imperial, but whoever wins Russia bleeds.I think it gets scarier than that. "Tyrant's Regime" is a scary as fuck relic weapon and in the hands of Ivana who is upfront and honest with her naked brutality, it doubles as a personal WMD. You could land a mortal blow on Ivana in the hopes of killing the hag only for Ivana to get back up and cruelly reveal that you deleted your best friend. It's why Anastasia had to forge a relic explicitly designed to no-sell the relic weapon's effects and a secondary reason why the Twelve Knightesses of Europe forged their alliance in the first place.
>This is one of those scenarios where they're too proud and domineering to admit how similar they are, isn't it?Pretty much, although the difference between Anastasia and Ivana is that the latter gives zero shits about decorum and is brutally honest with her call-out of others as well as being honest about her own character flaws and blatant cruelty (i.e. she will tell you she will have a tendency to backstab you and then stab you in the face immediately afterwards, chiding you for failing to heed her warning and refusal to bend the knee, or demand you to bend the knee and then kill you immediately afterwards because to her, you were a convenient 1-up that presented its head the moment you thought about complying.)
Anastasia meanwhile, makes the effort to show class and restraint, although she isn't without her own flavor of cruelty. She discovered Tyrants Regime from the Deep underground after sentencing 100 daughters to an expedition into the deep as punishment, with the condition that any who came back with a relic in tow will be pardoned of their crimes.
The whole fluff that spawned from my head and leapt into the medium as a post is why I'm so goddamned ambivalent about the Russian faction in general.
Anyways, time to hammer away at the other factions, although the muse has been singing more about the Africans instead of the Persians/Middle East.
