>>5246954It doesn't need steampunk, it can literally just be modern tech but the batteries are magic crystals, or floaty enchanted bits as cybernetics, or automated fire elemental summonings as part of the titanium industry, complete with worldbuilt workplace safety procedures and logistics for where the material components for summonings come from and the kinds of positions available in titanium factories and all that.
It should be literally so easy to justify why it's appealing that I find it ironically difficult to do so.
