The Mothrat... It moves with the quiet tenacity of a knife seeking a throat!
She flings a small piece of steel at Fourth Dusk, who bats it aside reflexively and in the same movement, she kicks a cloud of sand at Sal and follows up with a harrowing cut that Sal twists aside from in the last moment - and then she's already moving, rolling with the back-swing, coming up with twin cuts at Amicus and Leone! Amicus heavy helmet and stout defense soaks it, and all that's rattled is his Guard - but Leone is off balance and -- LEONE!!!
>Leone has 4 wounds.
>Leone . . . Passes a Grit check. Leone is still on his feet! Leone powers through.
>Your wound penalty is *-2*!
And then, a RAIN of RATS from above! They attack! They kick! They try to elbow drop, and we stop them, and one of them lands, comes up slugging, and the Hook Alley Butcher does something very simple with his hands, parries, counters, and the Rat simply stumbles backwards and sits down-

Mock, Spidersman, Pugiliste are all prone. Spend 3 Agility or a Major Action to spring to your feet!

Maskmates, the warehouse is heating up. At least half of it is the Empyreal's army now, all heat and voracity, and our job here is partly done. But those Slice-Rats moaning and groaning on the roof. Get them off before the building collapses and they're consigned to the fire with their drug shipment.
But you don't have to be gentle about it, maskmates. There's a virtuous way of vigilantism, and a very marked line in what the Red Market offers. You know what you get when you start adding a corpse tally to your contracts? You get higher pay, sure, and better premiums, this I grant, and you also get problems. And sooner or later, the Watchers arrive, with questions. You don't cal them mercynaries for nothing, you know?
Still. Let's you and all agree that the Slicerats don't entirely deserve the full measure of soft handling hands!
>Arson Accomplished. +1 Maskstain, group.

>overview:
>Pugiliste, Spidersman, Mock. PRONE. 3 Agility or 3 AP to stand up, otherwise -2 to everything. Legionlock ignores penalties.
>you can obviously crawl just fine on the floor, if you'd rather not stand.
>Someone might try to spring to their feet with a 1 agility move roll, but do note that the penalties play into that also! Ufh!
>Leone, wounded! He Shrugs It Off and stays on his feet! NO GUARD! -2 from PAIN!
>Waxworm is flung like a rag doll!
>Abnegation is in Full Manual Breathing Mode still, but you can fill the chains of the world rattling back, slow and sure. It will wear off... soon. Maybe end of this turn. Maybe next? Who can say.
