>>5710811>>5710995>>5710713Merlina made the whole "open a portal to the abyss and let it close by itself" thing look a lot easier than it really is. The fact that she managed to carve a rune like that on her final moments is nothing short of astounding, considering that despite the sages knowing what rune she used to conjure up that teleportation spell, the fact that she established contact with the deepest dimension of life proves to be so dangerous that even the four elder sages working together with you are scared to do correctly.
You find a piece of rock and make modeled somewhat after a Behelit. You didn't quite capture the shape of it's face, but it's mostly a design choice than any requirement.
Studying the theoretical, the anti-behelit is feasible. You can use it like a timebomb. Light the fuse with your Od, count to two, throw it, and then see the vortex sucking everything onto it's path. The problems came from trying to test it's power, which Danaan forbid you due to the following factors.
You had no idea how strong it's blast radius was. If it was anything like Merlina's cape, it would be enough to destroy the island. Aside from that, none of you have any idea on how to close that damn portal. It could increase to the point where it would engulf the world if you had no way to stop it. Your only hope in closing the vortex would be to have the Skull Knight around to perhaps use his behelit sword to do the work for you, but given how rarely he appears and the fights he is readying up to, you cannot count on him for that.
You did understand that the Behelit has some power related to teleportation, or at least with illusions, for no matter how far it is activated, the God Hand can reach it, but aside from that, you pretty much wasted 3 weeks on a weapon that for all intents and purposes, is too dangerous to use it in a practical fight for how rough it is to control it.
