>>5924133"Hello Prince Alric, Miss Sengutz." Jandice greeted as she pulled off her soaking wet hood.
"Hello Lady Jandice." You replied to her as she walked to the two of you. "We were just talking about you."
You spared a glance towards Monica who realised what you were going to do. You could see the shock and resignation in her eyes.
"Oh? What did you talk about me?" Jandice asked and raised her eyebrows a bit.
"Monica here thinks that you are beautiful, that you carry yourself with grace and that you are perfect." You told Jandice.
"Do you really believe so? Oh thank you Miss Sengutz, your words warm my heart." Jandice said to her with a smile as Monica barely kept herself together. "And Prince Alric."
"Yes Lady Jandice?" You asked.
"It is a poor form to pester a woman like that, Miss Sengutz looks like she will explode any second now." Jandice replied before laughing at herself.
You joined the laugh as you knew Jandice loved to hear those words from you and she realised your small jest towards Monica.
"Don't worry Monica, Lady Jandice has a good sense of humour and I couldn't avoid this opportunity." You said to her.
"Bullied by two powerful nobles…" Monica muttered to herself.
"Prince Alric, we can talk more about the events tomorrow. I will now head into my room for the night." Jandice replied to you. "Oh Miss Sengutz, send wine into my room. Two bottles preferably."
"I will Lady Barov." Monica said to her.
You watched as Jandice walked away, your gaze lingering a bit too long on her backside. Suddenly you felt a soft kick on your leg.
"What?" You asked.
"You stared too long at her, manners Alric." Monica replied.
"Yeah, but you were the first one to call her beautiful. I had to see it with my own eyes." You said with a laugh.
"Maybe those rumours about you have some truth in them after all." Monica muttered and chuckled.
Oh if she knew the truth…
…
"Hold your hand still and just like before draw the line on the paper." Jan gave you advice.
It was evening already. You had finished the dinner with Monica mostly laughing and bantering about before retiring into your room and asking not to be disturbed. You wanted to rest in silence. Not long after that you had slipped into Jandice's room where she was already waiting with a wine glass in hand for this evening's magic studies.
And everything else that would follow.
You did as told and a soft purple somewhat uneven line appeared on the paper from your finger before turning ink black.
"Very good Al, now let's see if you can do circular patterns and not just straight lines. This can be surprisingly difficult for beginners so concentrate well.
