After a serving of his drink TalOS finally asked the questions he was wondering, +How are you feeling, Vadar? With my ascension I know there have been a great many complications.+
The Astartes gave a firm nod as TalOS spoke those words, +It is… relief Father. Whatever you had done we no longer feel that ever burning anger of a god within our veins. Though we are thankful for that, we feel that we have lost something precious that will never come back.+
TalOS gave a nod of understanding and attention, knowing exactly what it was they lost. No longer were the Astartes bound to TalOS through a psychic link which they were meant to have. It will not harm them in the long run, TalOS understood but in the short term they will feel that.
+It will take you time to recover. No longer are the Astartes of what was once the Second Legion connected directly to me. You are bound to me through oaths of loyalty and by my blood, but the psychic engineering that my Father created is gone.+
+Is that a good thing?+ Asked the Astartes with a hint of warriness, +Will you wish to begin testing our genes to check for mutation?+
+I will do some testing to confirm my hypothesis, that being that there will not be any changes. What genetic issues that were within your genome, the instability which was theorized, has already been corrected when the Legion first met me upon Lucius.+ TalOS said with a firm certainty.
+Then there will not be an issue.+ Vadar answered straightly, obviously not wishing to get into the meat of how that was accomplished with his Father.
The Reich Marshal reached over and got a serving spoon from the barrel, pouring himself another bug’s worth of the alcohol. He reached over and did it for TalOS as well, filling his drink up to full.
The two of them took drinks, with every sip causing the Astartes before TalOS to become more and more relaxed. He was quite a bit tense when they entered the room thanks to his presence as a Pariah, but it seems to TalOS that time was indeed the best solution to all things like that.
+What happened the day I ascended? I have the understanding that you all felt my presence break from you, but what happened?+ TalOS requested as he looked firmly upon his son.
He watched as the Astartes shivered upon the sudden increase in pressure upon him. The Astartes however did not hold his tongue and began to speak.
