The Legion of the Omnissiah marched wordlessly across the red sands of the Holy World of Mars. So many of the feet walking were but civilians, people who had yet to find a home for themselves in their chaos and instead joined the forces of the Omnissiah in seeking his unspoken protection of both their bodies and their souls.
Around all of these people were the Legio Skitarii that had found themselves grouping with this force. A large portion of warriors who had fought their entire lives in the name of the Mechanicum that they were now facing. So many of them were recently made destined for a future combat against the enemies of mankind only to find their first deployment to instead be the world of Mars itself. Such was a sadness for these folk, let it be both the young and old bloods.
Among these Skitarii were the Tech Priests who flocked to their divine leige. So many of them were simply bunkering down within their forges and using their Skitarii as a buffer against the terrors that were shaking outside. When news traveled through mouth that the Omnissiah had touched down upon Olympus they quickly ran to investigate. For many of them even the prospect of the Omnissiah having touched down upon Mars in its darkest hours was something that could not be passed up on. Even the knowledge that they had been hoarding safely from the hosts of the Mechanicum were but useless reliquaries against what was the Omnissiah. An epitome of knowledge that they could not come close to rivaling.
Beyond them was the armored fist of the Mechanicus. The Proelitor, Titans, and Knights all walked together while studying the horizon for any form of attack that would come in their direction. The Titans shook the ground underneath their feet as the Proelitor rode with the deployed vehicles of Sicarian and Land’s creation. Each of these blessed rides giving them enough speed that if they needed to, they could match the speed of the two Warlord Titans that they were riding with. The Knights as well were more than prepared to match speed their their giant counterparts and run down the traitors wherever they would present their heads.
