>>5776320>pre-Revolutionary FranceI was pretty obsessed with the Versailles (2015) TV series I think Canal Plus made it but a lot of the main actors were British eg the king Louis XIV, George Blagden (I think he was the monk guy in Vikings?), the dauphin, also his loyal valet Bontemps etc. Anyway the costumes THE HAIR and acting in this TV series were really opulent and lavish, I don't know if French people found it cringe lol but I was amused especially by the characters of the king's brother the dauphin and the chevalier etc. The actresses in this were very hot too yay (yes, there are bosoms and a lot of the obligatory rumpy-pumpy) I did not know much about l'affaire des poisons history before seeing this but the TV series does furnish a lot of palace intrigue and even occult inspiration for ttrpg scenarios and adventures.
