“Many times we might not need to reallocate the people. The Mechanicum would be willing to work with the rulers of each world to acquire the mineral and other such rights from the natives. By improving their quality of living they will be happy for us to live as their terrestrial neighbors.” TalOS told the War Council as he gave a small grin, “Why we have not done it is obvious, we do not wish for the Imperium to think we were doing something else. That in the end it was not for the Noble purpose of the Great Crusade.”
“You seek to create Enclaves upon these worlds, if I am understanding it correctly.” Horus said as he nodded, “That is more reasonable, and would be a benefit to the people as well.”
“How would we prevent the Mechanicum from abusing such an authority?” Fulgrim shot quickly as he was the naysayer to whatever inch TalOS gained.
“If the people are foolish enough to be tricked like that, then they will deserve their fate.” Rogal Dorn declared as a verdict when he glared at his brother, “We should not question our allies as they do not question us. If an issue does occur then Father will talk to Kalbor Hal about the matter.”
“We thank the Mechanicum for being forthright about such an issue.” Horus said as he shined a smile towards TalOS, “I am sure these worlds will find it more reasonable if you approached them with the authority of the Imperium to help arbitrate these affairs.”
TalOS had to take a second to feel out those words within both his mind and soul. It would be horrendous if the Imperium, acting in its own interests, tried to keep the Mechanicum from getting these worlds. Then he considered that it was in the Imperiums best interest to give them as much leeway as possible.
After all, the Imperial Tithe only includes Psykers. If they did this then they would reap the benefits of actually conquering these worlds.
“The Mechanicum will accept the assistance of the Imperium for these negotiations.” TalOS answered Horus as he could feel the mirth coming off of Fulgrim.
