"Hehfh. Bin's smoothh h like an omelette."
>PROPERTY DISCOVERD. COLT's MENTAL HEALTH is now <span class="mu-g">UNBREAKABLE. It can't be lowered by most means!</span>"Hefkm." He tries his best to stand up, but he slumps right into SACA's arms. He is completely fucking sloshed. "Ya lokk funni."
"I WILL LAY HIM DOWN ON THE LOUNGE CHAIR. CONTINUE YOUR WORK, VINCENT.
>...COLT also has a massive -15 penalty to most skill checks while intoxicated.>5 WINE-SOAKED SANDWICHES OBTAINED! (Heals a moderate amount of PHYSICAL HEALTH, may have side effects if you eat more than one a day.)With COLT out of the picture and SACA assigning itself to tend to him, you're left to your own devices. You try to figure out what your GIFT does, but, to be honest?
>0 SUCCESSES!You don't really learn much about it. The only real impression you got after you were given it is that it bloomed when you were working out, and it puffed a floral scent in the air when you were stressed out over the PC.
You poke at your skin on your chest with your scalpel, and that makes the flower flinch, as if it felt the pain too. Whatever effects it may have, it seems <span class="mu-b">tied to your wellbeing</span> but you can't really get a solid reaction out of it.
You don't really have time to do any more tests on it. You seat yourself down by the computer to check up on one little thing. You click the icon for CPPQUEST.EXE. It boots right back to where you last left off. The screen shows a heavily corrupted and pixelated mess that, if you squint, resembles a random storage room somewhere in a facility just like yours.
Something's different this time around. There's music playing in the background.

It's just as garbled as the rest of the game. The song is complete garbage noise.
"U ARE SOMEWHERE ADKR. WHAT DO?" The distorted portrait of whatever claw-handed character your player flickers. For a moment you thought you saw something that could resemble a smile. "U R SOMEWHERE KARD. WHAT DO?"
You type in 'TURN ON LIGHT."
The text box at the bottom of the screen reads, "YOU TURN ON LITGH. U SEE A DOOR." The screen doesn't visibly change but it's so garbled, it's hard to tell. "BE4 U LEVE"
"WHT KND OF HUMN R YOU? IF PROBLEM COMES WHAT DO U DO?" So your character's meant to be human? You suppose it's asking what kind of class you want?
What do you type in? Choose one path. You'd imagine your playthrough will change radically depending on what you pick.
>"A cautious human." You'll avoid whatever problems the game throws at you.>"A violent human." It's a game. There's no harm in blowing off some steam, right?>"A lame human." Might as well self insert, right?>"A talkative human." Charisma is always busted in video games, right?>"A tough human." Being a tank sounds fun. Nothing will be able to stop you.>"A smart human." Seems like a safe choice. Intelligence is always strong in RPGs.>Write in.
