“No idea.” Kazeko shrugs calmly, turning to face and stare at you. “My zanpakuto spirits aren’t exactly cooperative. They said I’ve got to earn the right to use their abilities, because as I am now I’m just a ‘fight monkey that only knows how to swing a sword’, or however it was they put it. I assume they mean that I need to become more well-rounded as a fighter before I can use them properly.”

“The 13th Division will likely teach me well in that regard.”
“Yeah, that ma…” You blink, registering what she said again. “Wait, what? What do ya mean?”
She stares at you, as if the answer was obvious. “Ukitake-taicho has already said that I’m free to join his Division now, in a seated position. I don’t even have to complete the year. It’d better serve me to gain actual experience I think, so… I’m going to take his offer. I only haven’t yet to tell you and Shin.”
