You use your remaining Green Pikmin, after losing a few to the Slurkers, to get control over the Bulbmin. While it's still revolting to see the way they take over and puppet the bulborb bodies around, it is nature afterall. Sometimes, nature is cruel.
After a few more battles, you reach the deepest floor of the cavern. Here, you feel strangely warm. As though insulated from the cold surface above from many layers of stone; the energy readings here are very strong. Without your advanced radiation and filtration plugs in your suit- you'd get radiation poisoning and die here- though the oxygen still present would probably kill you first...
You enter a large chamber to be greeted by a new creature. Appearing like a large fish on legs, its body also has an unusual metal girdle and what appears to be a plexiglass screen covering its face like a visor. Even stranger is its probiscus, seemingly ending in a barrel. It spots you and, with a mechanical precision, launches a bolt out of its cannon. This is another biomechanical creature- and this one has a gun!
It fires its cannon with ammunition from within its body- always arcing high overhead and aimed at a distance at a high bombardment arc. The explosion hits a small group of pikmin- knocking a few aside and up in the air. On impact, the blast kills a handful of pikmin. Even red pikmin, immune to fire, are killed by the sheer impact alone. Purples do a little better but are easier to get hit- only your Bulbmin can withstand the blast- a direct hit will blow them apart, but their heavier bodies of zombified flesh seem to absorb the blow with the most success.
The worst part is- this creature is ranged. It keeps its distance from you and attacks! What should you do to deal with this threat?
>Charge it with spicy spray
>Attack with just Bulbmin
>Try to sneak up on it by yourself and use bitter spray to stun it
