IIRC they rarely use Scout Marines in 30k though Legion Scout Squads exists, they prefer to train them to full marines and deploy Legion Reconaissance Squads (this is why CSM don't have Scout Marines cause they're old school, the idea of using half baked marines as the legions eyes and ears are a silly thing from Roboute's book).
I'm thinking our Acillians might prefer to become Legion Tactical Support Squads and Legion Heavy Support Squads with lots of firepower, and our Astartes would prefer to become Legion Assault Squads.
Also this book has a ton of more juicy Volkite Options and dedicated disintegration guns that aren't combi-weapons! Maybe the laser could be a stop gap until we learn to produce better things in bulk?
They have a Volkite-Charger which is rapid fire 1. Maybe instead of having to invent some new laser gun, we just mass produce volkite chargers to replace our reliance on bolters?
