>>5675882If your goal had been to defeat one of the Four Aces in a timely manner and help your friends, you might have picked the worst member to square off against. This Rene was an infuriating one, both in terms of personality as well as that Runesword. He had every intention of stretching this out as long as possible in hopes of making you scream for mercy. That weapon was a difficult one to contend with, but you had to win. Rene could rejuvenate himself as much as he liked, you’d just keep swatting away at him until there was nothing left. Transmuting your Killing Lance once more, you charge forward with a battle cry and fresh intent to kill.
>Transmute: 2 Uses Left>Blair: (30 STR + 10 (KL+) + 5 (Lancefaire) + 4 (Fiery Blood) = 49 – 25 RES = 24 DMGx2 (Darting Blow)>Crit Roll: 30, 80 (Hit, Miss) >96 DMG (KO!)There was no question that Rene was strong and durable. Even while carrying around that heavy blade and shield, he still managed to be an agile fighter. But when you went on the attack, you were able to claw away a slight edge over him with your superior agility. You charge him straight on and he braces himself for impact, Runesword above shield, poised to strike and absorb whatever damage you might inflict. You feint at the very last second and Rene falls for the bait. He thrusts his blade forward, only to overextend as he misses his attack. You outmaneuver the slower Wyvern, weaving towards the right and finding yourself behind him, poised for a critical strike. Knowing you’ll only get one chance at this, you thrust your transmuted glaive straight through the Ace’s back. The point pierces through his chest, and the Vampire of Adrestia finds himself disemboweled by your spear.
“Gah!!?! How-!” Rene coughs up a gout of blood. He hangs off the side of his wyvern, and you quickly extend a free hand out to rip his Delphi Shield off before it is lost.
>Obtained a Delphi Shield! ((Negate Flier’s Weakness)>“The only one squirming here was you, Vampire.” You say, pulling your spear out in a spray of blood. You slash at his Wyvern’s neck, decapitating the beast and letting both rider and beast plummet down into the smoldering ruins below.>100xp gained!
