Seeing the forces swarming you in full now, you decide that you must hunker down and do your best to outlast your barrage.
"Gremlin! Keep building up those light screens! Countess, use Strength Sap."
The two get to work, Gremlin throwing up barrier after barrier under the rapid fire assault as Antoinette drew green energy away from the spirits, invigorating herself...
The only problem was that the spirits were bodyless entities, inhabiting neither corpse nor stone... there was very little of their attack to drain, and it was both poor substance and poorer comfort as the barrage did not slow in the slightest.
Gremlin starts to slow a bit, his long tongue waging as he pants between broken barrier after broken barrier. Fatigue and posion each doing their part in sapping his energy away. Antoinette barely finished patching the last chip of damage from the attack as the barrier crumples completely.
Your defenses far apart the fog laughing as the lights of hidden power fade away, instead dark purple embers glow. The attack launches, the Hex knocking Gremlin to the floor and out of the fight, the fair seeing nothing but stars before passing out.
Laughter echos from the fog as the ghosts press forward, seeking to engulf the three of you.
>Switch out Gremlin and keep fighting!
>Run!
>Fuck it weird hex shit
>Write in
Despite their glee the fog isn't looking ENTIRELY happy itself, Gremlin wasn't the only one with a steadily running down clock and though your bunker strategy didnt injure it... the burns have.
