[ JENK'S FARM, SIEGESIA ]
Thought I'd pay the ever diligent farmer a visit today.
'Jenk!' I called out, as I landed on my feet in front of his house.
I saw the skeletal demigod on his knees with a chisel to rock. He was carving a stone full of runes near his shrine to Bedolfir. A large new addition, on which hot coals burned below with small flames.
[JENK] "Muna!" He sang, rising and setting his tools aside.
His skeletal body was naked, to avoid burning the clothes he wore, though I didn't think much of it. After all, he was a skeleton. He came over and grabbed my hand, shaking it up and down.
'Woh, Jenk, you seem to be in high spirits today.'
[JENK] "As a matter of fact, I am. I just finished my ritual grave site for Vymla, nestled near to the shrine I sport to Bedolfir." He said, pointing at his work; "It's impossible to give her a true burial, so I thought I'd just honor her spirit with a tombstone and fires to burn in her name. I carved many runes in it for her, all night."
'That's so sweet of you.'
[JENK] "She would have liked it. And this, over here, is my other addition." He said, motioning me to his massive field of flowers; "I'm growing them so I can place them at her heart in Kalaheimr when we finally dispel the eternal winter and rid the world of that horrid Alien. For my best friends, I'm willing to do this, even if it wastes me away."
I nodded. Jenk could never be said to not be passionate. This man's passion was greater than most I knew, and he was only a skeleton.
I saw the farmer demigod go over to the porch and fetch his breeches, shirt, hood and hat and throw them on quickly. He humorously apologized for being caught improper before he grabbed something from the table and stepped over to me.
[JENK] "Pray tell, what do you think of this?"
I took the thing he held. It was a single strawberry.
'Mm. It's a strawberry.'
[JENK] "Well, yes. But what do you think of it?"
'You grew this?' I said, to which he nodded; 'Hmm... well, I think strawberries are delicious. I can't decide if I like strawberries better than blueberries.'
[JENK] "True. Strawberries go great on many things. But, is that all you can say that can come to mind when gazing at just this little crimson effigy? Are there no other insights you might come up with on this seemingly mundane thing with your great psychic mind?"
Well, when you put it like that...
Let me think.
>What DO I really think about the strawberry?
