Said attacks continued. Particep Semper was now trying to fire its Volcano Cannons in an attempt to damage the Titan and impede it from its retribution. Such relief did not come to it and the Dies Irae could continue its assault. Parries and slashes were not the name of the game and so both of Particep Semper’s weapons were starting to shred as they fought against one another.
The Hellcannon, which was such a potent tool just a few moments ago had its piping bent and breached as Particep Semper brought it up for a parry. Said parry worked with wonder, sending the hand of the Dies Irae upwards and allowed Particep Semper to place a moment’s distance as it tried to get a better location for the coming fight.
Such a price was not worth it as the Dies Irae simple charged the new location of Particep Semper. The pain of losing pieces of metal swam through the giant Titan but still Particep Semper continued their duel of giants. So hard was this fight that almost all of the Horde had been crumbled under the feet of the two. The remaining fellows simply decided that retreat was the better option to death by proxy.
As the Dies Irae came in for an attack Particep Semper brought its Plasma Annihilator up. As the Plasma Weapon began to heat up the Dies Irae realized the danger of the event and tried to evade what was about to come. But the Titan was already in the motions as the Titanic weapon exploded between the two of them and sent both reeling back.
Horror swelled the survivors as they watched both Titans try their best to regain their footing. The Dies Irae taking several steps back as an attempt to stay up. Several leagues were crossed but after the sixth step the Titan finally stood upright. And to its enjoyment, it looked upon Particep Semper who had collapsed upon the corpses of those who had fallen alongside it.
It was in this moment, deep within the Dies Irae, that a lone Dreadnought looked upon the Reactors of its foe. He did not know what was happening outside and feared what he felt to be the deathroes of his… his Father.
While he was not out of munitions he did not have enough time to deal dangerous amounts of damage to this machine. As his fellow Proelitors fought their way into Dies Irae the crew had been transformed into monsters that none of their minds could comprehend. Indeed each Space Marine had slain a hundred of those things, but they fell one by one to give this lone Steel Warden a chance.
As he heard the Daemons coming thought he coaxed the Machine Spirit. It agreed with his assessment and in the next moment the core within the Dreadnought began to go critical.
In the next moment, he exploded.
