Ice shatters and cracks. In the distance, the mountains are falling from the sky. The labyrinth is collapsing.

The figure on the funeral pyre continues to weep, face turned toward the clouds. The beast groans, unable to do anything with its broken arms, simply sinking beneath the waves quietly. Two girls adjust their stances, ready to deal the final blows.
Hermione grits her teeth as she kicks at a mermaid’s face, dumping forty-eight boxes of ammunition from her bag to lighten the load. Her limbs move sluggishly through the freezing water, every nerve in her body seeming to burn in the cold. She swims for the surface, her bow helping pull her up just a bit.

Stabbing into the ice with two flower-arrows, the girl drags herself out of the lake, sopping wet. Hair clinging to her face, panting heavily, she looks up toward the Witch in the distance. It was time to end this. Standing shakily, the girl draws her revolver and aims at the beast.
The wolf-girl growls, then leaps for the throat. ‘Beatrice’ pulls the trigger. Lorene swings her blade.
