>>5941589Deciding since he was here already William might as well get the spell and social out of the way now rather than later. Betty’s words popping up in his head about focusing his questions as he hums to himself knowing what to say this time to avoid another mistake. Walking toward the front desk seeing an empty seat as he looks around trying to spot the library hermit only to spot a simple bell on the desk. Deciding it would be faster to ring up the bell and hope Alive pops up to help a student. Flicking the bell as a quiet thud answers back, furrowing his brow as William taps the bell this time only to still hear a thud. Grabbing the bell with one hand to check that it is broken and unable to make any noise before bringing his other hand on the desk and knocks on the wood. Seeing no library hermit William knocks again but slams his fist in case he was not heard. Waiting for a moment longer as he searches around the library again hearing nothing before deciding to break the one library rule that everyone has to follow. Taking a breath as William clears his throat to break the sacred rule.
“Hello!”
“I am coming, I am coming! Keep it down!” Says a voice on the second floor of the library.
“Hey I tried ringing the bell, the wood, and only used my voice at the last second!”
“Yeah, yeah I had to test you if you were Ords or a mage.”
“Ignoring students is your litmus test?”
“Shut up! Usually mages would enhance their voice or thunderclap something if they are impatient so I would hide from that.” Says the voices as her steps echo down the stairs.
“Wouldn’t that just piss them off harder?”
“Yes and it would give me more time to decide how to hide.”
“But your books could be ruined.”
“This school is not worth my life and the teachers can deal with it.” Says the voice with a tinge of venom lacing her voice as a pair of footsteps come down behind him as Alice enters his view.
“So hello again.” States William as his eyes stare at the weird circle thing on her head with a scowl on her face.
