I had no such "holier than thou" attitude, the only posts dripping with condescension are yours as you yourself admitted.
My observations weren't meant to convince the QM of changing anything in this encounter, they were merely criticisms and suggestions on what to change in future writing.
If I were him I simply wouldn't have written the rival to be temporarily incapacitated for enough time that the MC would be able to kill him and therefore not creating this situation to begin with.
Had you actually given me the benefit of the doubt then maybe you wouldn't be having this chimp out. Have a tiny bit more patience and charitability with strangers, be better man, as you said.
