In the north-western sky, two players ride through The Outlands on flying swords of the expensive variety. This flagrant flaunting of wealth is simply asking for trouble in these parts of the land. However, who would dare gank them? Lest they incite the wrath of the Ebonwill.
“I just filed a report. How do you think Whitesteed will respond, Piggy?” Deepspring Thorns asks solemnly.
“...”
Pighammer utters not a word, but the meaning of his silence is not unknown to Deepspring Thorns. After months of playing together, these two players developed a sort of tacit understanding, the kind that doesn’t need words.
“Right… Let’s just hope-”
An abrupt notification interrupts the tank’s words.
“It’s him.”
“...”
Without much of a choice, both players enter a private voice channel with Whitesteed. Deepspring Thorns begins elaborating on the details of the fight, to his superior’s disinterest (and possibly contempt), but as soon as the names Distant Cloud and Skyfrost are mentioned, Whitesteed curtly cuts him off.
“How very interesting…”
A long silence ensues, neither Pighammer or Deepspring Thorns daring to speak a word.
“I can’t overlook this defeat, but neither can I blame any of you for it.” Whitesteed remarks sharply. “This Distant Cloud and Skyfrost duo 2v5 Iron Resolve’s new group yesterday.”
Both players refuse to comment.
“Other than them, you two are the only ones that know about this. Do not reveal this to anyone else… Not the other elders, or even the sect master for that matter. Is that clear?”
“Understood!” The two of them acknowledge in unison.
“A shame… Since they have proclaimed their allegiance to those Steelport dogs, it seems that more drastic measures must be taken.”
