https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximilian_(miniseries)The costumes and lighting in this series is so amazing, it literally looks like Dark Souls the film lol except it appears to be based upon the actual history of Mary Of Burgundy, The Great Privilege etc and something I like about this drama is they chose actors who look like period paintings (often a lot of modern tv historical drama is afflicted by the syndrome of smartphone face, the performers look and behave with weird modern mannerisms and things which ruins the costume setting illusion). I also quite like the Ghent merchants lol the entire film could just be condensed into German people saying over and over again we are at war we have no money (geld) we need to borrow more money lol and then the devious arrogant merchant people swaggering around in their fur gaberdines or whatever, I like this depiction of medieval society hehe. Also it appears they used a lot of actual German castles, they look really good
Whilst the gif here is pretty much the only fight in the entire film lol

I understand from the internet the pic related was controversial because of its inaccurate depiction of Hungarian national hero Matthias Corvinus, I am pretty ignorant and confused because I thought he was just the vampire Kate Beckinsdale fought using skintight leather corsets and machine pistols in the Underworld series
