[ HEAVENLY CAPITAL, IMPERIAL SEAT ]
I donned my Golden Goddess outfit today and headed out. I was going to the Heavenly Capital again for the second time in my life. There was something there I wanted to see. Something I'd heard of.
When I was listening to the radio out of boredom in the Bunker just today after morning was over and the daytime really kicked in, I heard over the usual Imperial news channels that a support rally was being held for a particular god amongst the ranks of the Trinity. His name was Garlo. He is the lord of fire, and the acting Master of the Senolist movement of Immortals in the Capital. What was the 'Senolist movement'? I'd looked into it, ordering the computer NIBIRU to find me results so I can study. I found the findings to be nonsensical.
The Senolists, championing Senolism, a world derived from the term 'senolytic', supposed to completely eradicate all Mortals. That was their stated goal, and what Senolists desired.
This strange philosophy derived from the teachings by Master Garlo that argued that because the difference between a Mortal and an Immortal was undeniable and all too obvious, then therefor Mortals themselves were all completely obsolete and thereby actually worthless. Master Garlo prides himself on being a god who looks down on mankind, and considers them nothing but useless to the point that they become a problem for the Immortal world, of which the only solution is to wipe them out. His stance is to the extreme that would even pressure the Emperor to accelerate the unknown date for the Great Rebirth by ridding all the mortals and simply taking all the Immortals that already exist into the new world as it was their, in Garlo's philosophy, "right". He wished for a world that had no mortals. A world of only his kind. Only gods and Immortals. A perfect race.
To him, Mortals are a different race. An inferior one. Needless to say, he was a controversial figure among the entire Capital.... even among the Trinity.
So I wanted to see. I wanted to see what this man was like for myself. I saw the golden ecumenopolis of the Heavenly Capital. I saw the Emperor's symbol everywhere. I went where the crowd did, I flocked towards the rally grounds. I saw what was ensuing.
The Senolists gathered to try gaining more public support. Their opponents gathered there and arguing and flinging and exchanging words. The Wei was present, to prevent anything from becoming too heated. All Senolists were Immortals. Their opponents were usually Mortals that lived in the Capital, and any Immortals that disagreed with the Senolists. Lots of fundamentalists in Temple dogma particularly rejected Garlo's ostracizing theories of inferior and superior racial ascensionism. Because the Temple's mission was to Immortalize all Mortals remaining in the world, I could see why they and other hardcore believers were critical of Senolism. But the Senolists had a surprisingly large gathering among the Immortals here...
