"NOT A CHANCE DOUGHBOY!"
You yell.
"Not until you apologize to Nutmeg for making her cry or until you knock me out! But if you do the second one I will come back for round two! And three! And four until I kick YOUR ASS!"
"You still have that kind of resolve after all that?"
Katakuri takes out a watch from his pocket and looks at it. He stares at it for a solid minute before crushing it.
"Very well! Then come on!"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsBHWIgQQpcYou accept his invitation and go for the throat once more. But after feeling what his punches are like you take a different approach. Drawing your weapons again you try to keep him at bay as much as possible. Thankfully it looks like that with those big mitts active he's a bit more restricted with his mochi powers. As you start parrying and countering him however he starts switching between his fighting styles. One moment he's battering you with those big hands, the next he undoes them and hits you with a shower of attacks. The strange thing is though that it doesn't really matter. You're picking up the pace more and more with the help of the Red Voice and Katakuris stamina gradually depleting. So it's getting rarer and rarer that even one attack of his lands.
The fight becomes more and more fluid, like a dance with both of you deftly moving around the others attacks. It's getting hard to tell who even has the advantage at any given point. Not that it matters anyway. Who's getting pushed back by whom does not matter. Minute flaws and imperfections do. If your focus lapses even for an instant, or if you can't move right because of pain shooting through your body then you get hit. These are the only factors that matter now. For both of you. And amidst the sound of steel clashing against hardened mochi and the environment exploding around you as you move one peculiar noise stands out. The smug chuckles coming from both of you. This is something else. This feeling of being pushed to the very limits of not just strength but skill. It's intoxicating.
But then suddenly Katakuri pulls out and with that you snap out of being focused. The way he's moving does not make sense. He raises his hand to the sky as he looks at you.
"Can you keep up with this?!"
He touches the floor and you feel something strange. The breath of the world around you changes. It's as if Katakuris pulse has entered it. And just like that the floor becomes uneven under your feet. It wobbles and moves on its own. Also your shoes are starting to stick to it.
"WHAT THE?!"
"Nagare Mochi!"
Your feet sink into the ground as it properly becomes a swamp of mochi in an instant and a tidalwave starts moving over to you with Katakuri riding it. With the added speed he leaps at you and decks you in the face. You fall into the sea of mochi and feel it press you from every direction. Despite being sticky and sweet it still possesses the qualities of hard and heavy stone.
