>>5276672“I wonder… would you know anything about that, Sōsuke?” Hirako-taicho asked, seemingly out of the blue, as he raised his hand as he walked. He tore open reality, seemingly, revealing that stood right there was Lieutenant Aizen, the man that you distinctly remembered as being remarkably unremarkable.
You realise that Hirako-taicho must have seen through his Kyokkō somehow, despite you having no idea he was there, and that he had likely seen through yours as you had come into the Division, too. You watched the man closely, an odd feeling filling you as you did, an emotion you would later identify as ‘respect’.
“Impressive. How long have you known I was here?” Aizen asked, not moving from his now revealed position.
“Since you were in your mother’s womb. Now answer the question.” Hirako-taicho said, looking impatient.
“You’re a scary person, Captain. But very well.” Aizen stated, looking directly at you. “Yes, I know who it was who informed Kaname. After all, I did it myself. How would I not?”
“You did? But why?” You can’t stop yourself from asking, but Aizen already has an answer for you.
“Because like I said, the Captain is a scary person, but you are the first person I have ever seen be capable of communicating with him without any words exchanged whatsoever. You are very much like him, which means you’re a scary person too. I knew Tōsen had a friend in the Academy who could watch you, and so I told him what I thought. It’s as simple as that.” Aizen stated calmly and concisely, and you found yourself agreeing with the argument. After all, you likely would have done the same yourself in his position. Meanwhile, Hirako-taicho says nothing, simply watching.
