Two letters from two knights, Estella and Marcus, both updated you on the status of the plaza. Marcus wrote that there were some reports of the poor going hungry, though on a positive note there have been less brawls as of recent. Estella stated that crime had dramatically decreased, citing the adventurers as the reason for this. Both knights assured you that the Order of the Jagged Sword had nothing to do with the recent dispersing of the lamia gang and other criminal elements in the plaza, giving both the blame and credit to the four adventurers that were recently here.
The rest of the letters were either from Ayane's and Ruby's contacts. All seemed to express either concern or disinterest in the news, which mostly served to confirm what you already knew or suspected about the city's feelings.
One thing you'd noticed was how a few of these people tried to curry favor with you through flattery— it seemed like word had spread of a Savant that somehow managed to get the IDCA's bureaucracy to officially allow you to become an 'acknowledged Savant', with all the privileges that gave you. Many correctly connected that rumor to you. Ayane had informed you that it was normal for merchants and aristocrats to offer a Savant some employment, especially when sensing an opportunity. But she implicitly warned of how cutthroat the whole thing was; with Savants either being feared as unstable, respected as leaders, or preyed upon as easy targets to swindle, it was difficult for a Savant to be accepted under an established order.
While remembering said conversation you had with Ayane, you sought out your old vixen and found her working up a sweat as she exercised.
"Ah, Master," She panted as she jumped around, "How are you this day?"
"I'm fine, thank you." You grinned. "I see you're keeping yourself nice and limber."
"Indeed. It's necessary for women that are expecting." She confirmed.
"Not taking the time to rest?" You said, with Ruby still fresh on your mind.
"Just because I'll be a mother some months from now doesn't excuse me to laze around all day."
"I wish more of my slaves had as much dedication as you did, love." You leaned an arm against the wall and let your eyes drink her bouncing form.
"You're welcome to join me, my love~" A lustful spark was lit within her gaze in reply to your stare "Or stay and watch. I wouldn't mind such handsome company~"
"I'll take that offer." You said, almost jumping to the opportunity to 'work out' with another one of your wives today.
It went as expected, with the two of you ending up breathless and in bed. Ayane was doing better at keeping up with you, though a part of you suspected that this was only because you had 'punished' Ruby so much today.
