What in the hells is this human talking about? Such strange ways of these little ones, it would be funny if it wasn't pathetic. Just to make sure you even understand her fully, you try to get a better answer out of Cailinn.
<span class="mu-b">"So what you are saying is... these other humans are here to destroy you, so much so that you abandoned your old ways and called out to me across the sea. After all this, facing slavery, death and the destruction of the land... after all this, you still want to play by their rules and do the honorable, noble thing? Is that what you are saying?"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"Erm... no? Things aren't like you describe, not for our clan at least. If anything we pleaded for help from Tanaloa... you, against rival clans more than these invaders."</span>
<span class="mu-b">"Ugh... alright, fine... we'll do things your way."</span>
Strange, strange wretched little things, these humans. Even with some more explanation, you hardly understand why they would bother with all this. Though they seem to think behaving this way will spare their village from repercussion, so for their own peace of mind... you suppose you could play along, dragging your feet all the way. You have to keep reminding yourself, that these particular humans are supposed to be your allies and that you want to gain their favor, if you intend to use them for your own benefit later.
So then, you can follow this ragged band of yours as they move out to the open before the hilltop encampment, everyone taking positions as the village leader rides off towards the enemy to try and parley. Against your expectations, it seems Cailinn wasn't lying because within the hour a similarly small forced of the Namadans march down the hill to meet your own group... of course the elephant in the room, so to speak, is the huge sea monster standing among the would-be attacking Gaelans.
If your own humans remain nervous and uncomfortable to be near you, that's nothing like what the enemy are going through. Initial alarm when they first saw you upon leaving their camp, then fear during their approach, and now panic as they attempt to hold formation. Only by the shouting and urging of their superiors do they not rout already.
<span class="mu-b">"What's going on now, what's being said?"</span>
<span class="mu-s">"The chief is trying to organize a duel, between their champion and ours... you, to decide a victory here."</span>
Cailinn is the only one you can communicate with, and only via the exchanged water, so you have to rely on her to explain what the gathered people are talking about across the field to one another. The village leader exchanges pleasantries and negotiates with the Namadan lord, in a civil manner despite being enemies.
