Beta finally puts in the final number after gesturing at the others to back up as <span class="mu-i">far</span> as fucking possible from the box as they can.
<span class="mu-s">Fire on the Velvet Horizon</span> has been acquired.
<span class="mu-r">A roaring plume of fire bursts out of the cube, scorching the back wall. The sheer amount of heat warps the metal by a notable amount.</span> Thankfully, your reinforcement has kept the damage mostly superficial instead of it dealing major structural damage.
That's not the end to the fire. At first, you thought the thing that just exited the containment cell was just an animate ball of fire (ala Sirocco's situation) but you notice that there is someone underneath all of the flames.
Charred, black flesh clings onto a wispy skeletal frame. Covering up the figure is a charred velvet kimono that's still clinging together, despite the fact it should've been nothing more than ash at this point.
Beta and Gamma have to grab Delta once the anomaly comes out because <span class="mu-r">you were pretty sure he was about to charge in and try cracking its head open like an egg.</span> He struggles against the two, snarling his teeth.
"NOT FAIR! NOT FUCKING FAIR! REMATCH, REMATCH! THAT FIGHT WAS BULLSHIT!" Delta damn near foams at the mouth, trying his best to swing around his restrained fists. Eventually, Null has to move in to keep him still as well.
The anomaly looks around at the cell its in, not remotely caring about the man seething at it. It shakes its head in disappointment.
"An unfitting locale for a lady such as myself." A wispy yet regal voice hisses out of the anomaly. "Such unfitting behavior from that serf. I will not tolerate such insults to my name." It raises its hand up at your ETF agents.
"Uh, Beta sir? T-that's not good.
"Oh god, I'm not repeating that again. MOVE, SOLDIERS!"
"I'VE DEALT WITH ENOUGH LIGHT AND HEAT, THANK YOU."
<span class="mu-r">"COME ON, YOU FUCKING FREAK! GIVE ME YOUR BEST SHOT!"</span>
"I believe our time is up, gentlemen. I rather not lose my last eye."
A plume of fire bursts out from the anomaly's hand, aimed right at the five. This is enough to get the five to get the hell outta of there (well, Delta required some extra pulling to get out). <span class="mu-r">Alpha's arm gets hit by the blast, instantly setting it ablaze.</span>
"FUCK!" He hisses out, waving his arm out in panic in a desperate attempt to put it out. Once they're finally out of the cell, Beta and Null help to smother the fire to prevent another one of your agents from being a burn victim.
Once the agents are out of the room, the regal figure kneels to the ground, placing its hands onto its lap. It stares at the airlock with both uncertainty and resentment. "Such a horrid man. No respect for such a lady as myself."
You note to yourself to ask them where the hell they found it, you know the rough origins of most of your anomalies (sans the TV and this fireball. maybe you should ask about the TV as well?). Sooner than later, preferably.
