A simple straff was not going to change the outcome of the battle completely but what it did give them was a chance at reprieve. Every unit that Particep Semper placed between him and the Dies Irae was another unit that the Titan would been to cover. The Omnissiah knew this, and in doing so he finished the task that was started just a while ago.
With the Warlords they had killed gone, the Pterraxi and Assault Proelitor had taken back to the skies and made this invasion known to the Reavers. This time the defenders were not surprised and began to shoot both of these groups out of the sky with as much munitions as they could.
While it got quite a few of them, the armor of the attackers was too much for the defenders to take care of when the Princeps were bloodthirsty for the divine. The assault forces landed upon the Titans and began their invasion without error. In addition to this, as they had experience now, they knew where and how to attack the Titans and cause each of them to implode with ease.
Seeing this, Particep Semper picked off the two Reavers who were not infected by the pathogen of assault troops. Just like those before them they had exploded with a glory of might that was only comparable to the star which hung in the middle of the system.
The Dies Irae, knowing that weapons were simply useless now, moved its entire strategy of movement into running right towards Particep Semper. No guns raged for they were useless against the Shielding Matrix that the Omnissiah was now employing. So the Princeps, of whatever remained of him, simply decided to try and bludgeon Particep Semper.
For his attempts Particep Semper attempted to fire and provide some forms of retaliatory fire against the advancements of Dies Irae. Much to his annoyance though the Titan too seemed someway blessed by the foul gods in such a way that its shielding was holding up incredibly well.
Where the Reavers fell to a single full blast of Particep Semper the Dies Irae was taking three times that amount and only then did its Void Shields come down. Even as the shields came down Plasma washed over its carapace like water and slugs from the Hellcannon simply sank into its flesh like gelatin. It did not flinch as these impacted it, as if the Titan was incapable of feeling pain.
Then, with all the force it could carry, the Dies Irae threw itself forward towards its fellow Imperator with the fury of the damned gods.
