A ping went through the mind of TalOS as he laid within the confines of his mind. At this moment TalOS was not within the body of man but throughout the fleet and watching it from all angles. While many would describe it as a sea of data TalOS’s version was not. A sea of information is unwieldy and unmanageable from his perspective so instead TalOS arranged it like a factory line.
New information would come in from the augers, omnispex, and the Psi-Sensors upon the fleet. This would come in from every single ship and thus TalOS organized them according to their ships and placed the data into his Cogitators.
From there the Machine Spirits would parce through the data and start to give him whatever they thought were useful. It was comparable to a Factory Serf looking over a set of blades and determining which ones were sharp enough to move on.
From there that Data would be delivered to TalOS in sets, all pinned according to the current coordinate diagram of the Fleet. Here TalOS would make calculations and place them against each and every other ship within the area. From there he would issue the new information and send it directly to the ship the data was pinned to. This would be the assembling of turning said blades into force swords and sending them to the Acillians.
This method, to TalOS, actually still had inefficiencies that were impossible to cure. It was that he was mortal and his mind could not be divided among the numerous ships within the network. Maybe if he devoted himself to such tasks and divided his brain like a more proper Data-Processor he would be able to do everything simultaneously with the same efficiency. That however did not seem valuable for if he did that it would be much harder to do things like plan, design, and even create.
That was the reason he sorta did not want to respond to the ping. With his mind no longer focusing on assembly of new calculations TalOS was acutely aware of the issue.
+Arch Dominus.+ TalOS heard his title as he accessed his sensory systems once again, +The enemy has lost five cruisers but is persistent. If we do not do anything now they can possibly send troops onto the planet.+
TalOS held himself for a moment and breathed in the incense. It relaxed his now heightened nerves and settled the growing rattling for a moment’s thought.
>Keep it going, we will clear them out in a day
>We engage them directly, I will be attending the boarding party
>We will be going towards them full speed, readying the turrets and preparing for ramming.
