Lucian made a quick strike towards the vampire, the scythe a warding strike that would have killed great men if it had landed upon them. To the expectation of the Knight the strike instead was blocked by the vampire who raised their bare flesh to take the impact.
Just as he remembered it was like hitting stone. Hard as a rock and as immovable as a mountain. Yet it was to the Knight’s luck that she saw the effort was needed to block the strike. An effect that was not wasted as the claws of Bok were already wrapping themselves underneath the Skink.
As quick as they came Bok broke off in the direction towards the discarded Adok. The Vampire made a strike with her hand, getting a strike upon Lucian as they fled away. While the armor was strong and mightily made by the Dwarfs, the metal was still pierced by her claw.
When they arrived the Knight was quick to dismount, staring down the witch who had struck out against him. Her red eyes were glaring like daggers upon Lucian against the green light which leaked in from the open roof. Her mouth opened slightly to reveal the fangs that were underneath.
“You’ve saved me all the trouble of trying to find you.” She said as a pointed tongue licked her lips, “I am so close to gaining the secrets of the Old Ones, and yet you stand here trying to stop me.”
She glared at Lucian with a fiendish glare, “And here you once again standing between me and my prize!”
Lucian raised his scythe and gripped it tightly. He knew that there was going to be no help from Bok, for the beast was going to focus on preserving his master. Anywhere other than here was worse, so he will remain. As for the others, the Vampire seems to have had her way with them.
“I have made sure that you will not have any beasts to save you either.” She said while growing a smile, “You’re mine.”
Blood dripped from his arm as the Knight prepared himself for another fight once again. This time, there would be no monster to stop them.
