“Fine, come to my room.” You reply. Bulma smiles as a reply and heads off towards your room, crossing a corner. You can almost feel Nappa smirking behind you.
“Well?” He says as he crosses his arms.
“Well what?” You reply.
He shrugs. “You’re softening up to her, aren’t you?” That rhetorical question is followed up by a chuckle. “I remember the first time I found a mate. She was a non-combatant but she had some pluck to her. Fell in love at first sight.” He poses as if he were holding a large weapon. “She was holding the plasma launcher like this when she blew up the head vehicle of a Tuffle convoy.”
“Tch.” You utter, turning around and crossing your arms. “I’ve no time for your idiotic theories.” You leave your two warriors and go to your room to meet Bulma.
Nappa laughs softly as you leave.
Raditz looks at the large brute, curious. “You have kids?”
Nappa shakes his head. “Nope, she was not fertile.”
“And what happened to her?”
Nappa shrugs as if he were impassive, but there is a hint of gloomy emotion in his eyes as he recalls. “She was at Planet Vegeta when Frieza blew it up.” He looks down. “I’m pretty sure.”
Raditz pats his back, the two head to the bridge.
You press the button that opens the door to your room. You see Bulma sitting on the same countertop she sat on around a week ago.
She’s bending slightly backwards, using her hands to support herself on the counter. “Thanks for inviting me.” She says.
You shut the door behind you and unclasp your cape. You’ve been doing it every time you enter your room, it’s more comfortable to sit without it. “What did you need to tell me?”
She smiles. “Always so cut and dry, you Saiyans.” She says. “Well, a few things: First, the tech I recovered on the ground is going to be very useful to produce the armor I created in larger scale, in case you ever need that.” She takes a finger to her lip. “Then, uh… The ship, of course. I’ve been heading out in the early morning to it with my spacesuit. Just to take a look at its design and engine. I’m glad Turles was with us, I don’t think anyone else could’ve hacked it without tearing through its electric circuit. Anyhow, the engine is very interesting, way better than the one that was on Turles’ ship, that one was like a turtle compared to this one.”
During her explanation, you took the time to move to your cushioned chair and sit down. “That doesn’t surprise me. The attack ships of the Frieza Forces have to move very quickly from one place to another.”
“Yup. With just the tech I could cut down our travel time by around 20%... But!” She exclaims. “You have something other than the tech with you!” She waits for you to say what it is, but you don’t deign her with a response. She pouts. “Me! You have me!” She says. “I am puhretty sure that I can actually cut down our travel time from a whole year to just a month!”
You look at her astonished. “Truly?”
“Truly.” She replies. “I’m going to need my dad’s help but it’s looking very realistic.”
