The old researcher's eyes lock onto the old security guard standing only a few feet away from him.
Neither of them is saying anything. They merely stare and stare at each other, either unwilling or unable to be the first one to speak.
"What. What's going on?"
"I-I don't k-know. M-maybe t-they had a s-stroke at the exact same time?"
The silence hangs in the air for an uncomfortably long period of time until Rudolf finally breaks the silence with a sigh. "Damnit. Fine." He digs out his wallet and yanks out a $50 bill. "This is for last week's lunch."
"Damn right, Rudy. Damn right." Anthony walks over and snatches the bill out of the old man's hand. The awkward silence vanishes immediately after Rudolf paid his debts. "Long time no see, fucker!"
"Yep! Thought I'd never see your ugly mug again. Though, there's not a lot of your mug left, eh?"
"Pfft. Talk about my face like that, and I'll give you a face that's ten times as bad as it, ya here?"
"Uh." You clear your throat. "Say, we're here to talk about anomalies, not to do all of this."
"Ah! Right, right, I do apologize." Rudolf shifts his attention over to you. "I know you're a busy man, and you have a lot of things to do."
>102!
"Say, you came at just the perfect time. There's someone looking for you."
"Hm?"
Rudolf reaches into his wallet and extracts a tattered, decrepit business card. It's about as old as Anthony and him combined. You're almost certain that if he squeezes it too hard, it'll crumble into dust. "Some man named Anderson, from corporate, overheard some silly things you did."
"I suppose he wanted to talk to you. Layer 3, I think?"
"That ain't shady at all." The sarcasm oozing from Anthony's voice is strong enough to melt through steel.
"I-I guess w-we're probably going t-there anyways, right?"
You nod. You already have to visit a family member down there, so you'll stop on your way over. You take the business card just to be polite.
"Now. Let's talk shop. What would you like to know, Vincent?"
Choose four things to ask RUDOLF.
>Tell him about NOWHERE'S SOMMELIER and its twisted views on 'salvation'. Is there a way to get it out of its toxic mindset?
>Ask him about the STATIC ANGLERFISH and the various other uncontained anomalies you've heard about. Why is ARC so bad at their one job?
>Ask him about the FACILITY. Why is it designed like a deathtrap? Does ARC get something out of it?
>Ask him about the MONOCHROMATIC SUITS. You have a theory about them and you want to hear his thoughts about it.
>Show him the ESTABLISHING SHOT artifact. Ask him if he has any pointers or advice on what it might do.
>Show him the M.A.D WORLD glasses. Ask him about the auras you can see with it, does he have any clues on how to decipher them?
