With car and motorbike contests alternating at a fast pace, the crews are sometimes able to get through several races in a night, before the approach of the red and blue lights inevitably breaks things up.
As it turns out, one of the top competitors among returning veterans is a familiar face. His souped-up black Phantom takes the win in several of the early car races, including the ones that Rainfall and the Dark Tide PMC participate in. However, he's finally edged out by Alan, who's gripped by a feverish intensity in the wake of his defeat in a video game. Ray watches with amusement as the innocent-looking gangster rolls past after his victory, angrily shouts about not needing the prize money, and zooms away.
Rico and Napps are still on the scene, conversing; a friendly rivalry has been brewing as they've battled each other in the motorcycle race all night, with Rico taking one victory and Napps another. They see Ray nearby, watching the next race gear up to go. Neither of the bike riders were present at the car chase a few weeks ago, where this man's driving foiled the gang's pursuit of Spider, but he's got a distinctive look that's easy enough to recognize by description.
