Looking between the two outfits, you remember her earlier defiant insubordination due to her task being boring. Your hand stretches out to the more revealing article of clothing. A grin grows across your face, already tasting her public humiliation on your lips. Next time she thinks about undermining you publicly, she will remember that you will not just sit idly by. If people test you, there will be a price to pay. And if she wants to escalate things, then you are more than willing. She may be one of the best students, but you are head and shoulders above the rest.
“We’ll get this as a little present for Seyra.” You shake the fabric that can barely be called an outfit. “And we will get the armour for rest of us. We need it to look the part; it is as much a defence as it is a disguise. We cannot have people thinking we are unprofessional local gangers. They would watch us like viperhawks.”
“Agreed,” Ryn Sol nods, affirming your choice.
Continuing, while calling Garllan, adding him to the conversation. “We will also purchase the flechette launchers. I have some money that will cover the cost for them. This is my mission; I have taken charge of it, and I will see it succeed. Garllan, I will transfer the credits to you now.”
“Thanks boss,” Garllan’s hologram replies before winking out of existence.
Enjoying his deference, you beam a grin, and Ryn Sol speaks. “That is surprisingly generous. But I see your logic, if we succeed, the king’s share of the glory goes to you.”
“There will certainly be enough glory for everyone involved, considering we will run into two Jedi.” You promise. He needs to be invested in your shared success.
“Quite, talking about the team. Murl is going to be a pain to deal with. If you cannot get Seyra to convince him to take down the hyperdrive alone, and away from us, I do worry about him pointing his blaster at our backs. And Seyra will also be fun to deal with.”
“We will do the best we can.” You say with iron in your voice.
Ryn Sol leaves you with these final words: “Think about a secondary plan, one that you do not share with everyone in the team. One where a team member or two has an accident and does not return.”
