>>5341081"So the legends were true... It wasn't merely a dream..."
"The fuck do you mean by that, gramps?" Isidro says as he rushes to explore the place.
"One of the children who saw visions of the witch... was me. No one believed me, and so many years had passed, I started to think it was mere childish imagination..."
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Where's this old hag, anyway?! Let's get this bitch out of hiding already! Who does she think she is, relaxing in her cozy home while those trolls destroy the city!"
"I don't think I've made it clear to you yet: We don't plan on fighting witches today." You repeat to Isidro while he observes a giant stone statue covered in moss.
"So what? She's still a bitch for not helping! Here's what I think of her and her stupid statues." Isidro repeatedly kicks the mud figure, which eventually moves it's head and grows sentient, growing tired of being pushed around by the kid.
"A golem?!" Puck asks.
"Not really..." You recall the gargoyles your master used, and how they looked a lot more menacing than these ones. "These appear to be mud puppets. Common helpers or house guards for witches."
"S-S-So... Should I be worried about them attacking?"
"I'd advise you to run."
"AAAAAH!" Isidro cowardly rushes back after provoking the creature, with Guts slicing through the mud creature to see how easily he would go down.
While the creature managed to disappear into the dirt below, it quickly split into two as it's limbs regenerated. Accompanied by several other puppets behind him, it seemed that this fight would not end well for you.
"What is it with you and fighting enemies that can't go down in one hit?" Puck asks.
"I wish they would give me a break as well..." You sigh, noticing that while their intent was to push you all away, some of them were making a straight beeline towards you, the closer they reached you, the weaker their intent of attacking became, being replaced by a different gesture.
As their arms were spread wide, the bigger ones shrunk themselves into smaller sizes so it would become easier to... hug you?
What, did they mistake you for one of them?
>Attack with your halberd.>Poke them with your shorsword.>Attempt to communicate with them.>Ward them off with your magic and head back to the caravan.>Grow your magical seeds and form a wall between you.>Let them approach you. If they're really harmless, there's no need to initiate a fight.>Something else.
