The Landgraviate lies to the southwest of Fluddenmark and just like it is considered a part of the historic Ostmark (Eastern marches) and is considered the last line of defence in the east before you would enter the heartland of the empire. The landgrave is rich and can rely on both the wealth of his mines and his fields.
Another thing would be the negotiation of the bride price and the dowry. Although once these were exchanges of cattle,metal or coin between the father’s nowadays it is more like a gift to the groom and the bride to support them. With you giving gifts to a theoretical son-in-law and the potential father-in-law giving gifts to your daughter. It is also considered a good show to give them the rights to a few fields or mines or other such properties so that they may have something to support themselves with, though this is not mandatory as a sufficient amount of gifts can compensate for it.
