Welcome back to Core of Steel!
For the most part, you take the role of Beta, an Artificial Intelligence built to operate the Ferrum Empire’s most advanced mecha frames against enemies in tandem with your human pilot.
An internal matter has escalated into a civil war, with one of the Ferrum Empire’s leading generals signing an armistice with their erstwhile enemy in the Tamar Alliance and turning Army Group South back to the Empire’s own capital of Victoria in an attempt to dethrone the Empress.
You assisted in an attack to try and secure one of your AI sisters, Delta, and succeeded, but have spent the last week repairing her from the problems caused by a scientist’s attempt at ‘improving’ her.
Meanwhile, your nominal pilot, Thea Romanov, has been fighting in the Kozice Mountains in your place, using an inferior machine to keep up the pretense that you are available for the fight against StateSec and other Loyalists.

Well, welcome back. Once again, at the start of a thread we’re cleaning up results of the last one. I debated calling this one 8.5, but settled on 9.
And I'll apologize to any new readers, this isn't an Armored Core quest. I'll take art, I'll take inspiration, but despite the name, this quest is an OC world. Again.
