>>5369568>>5369461>>5369400>>5369353>You could always let Faysal do the talking for you? He got you into this mess after all...Until now, for the last few days your new human pet had been quite bitter and depressed about his kidnapping, and you can tell his subordination to you offends a royal fellow such as he. Within just the last hour or so of arriving at Atlantis though, his demeanor has changed enough to surprise you. Enlivened by the adventure you suppose, when before now his life had been comparatively mundane.
Perhaps a bit too lively, to have gotten the both of you into this situation. It feels like you're in over your heads, but if he wants a chance to prove himself then you can let him. Maybe he could prove to be more than just a pet? In any case he's sure to do better than you in this matter, considering your impulse is to rip and tear these merfolk apart.
So, after some consideration and reluctance you ease your grip on Faysal and set him down. Typical that he doesn't hesitate a moment or wait for your approval to act.
<span class="mu-s">"Well met! Faysal Ibn Mansur al-Abdari stands in certainty before you!"</span> always with the decorum, such pride for such small humans, <span class="mu-s">"God wills it so, that I bring with me a Queen, as only a King can rightly welcome!"</span>
You almost burst out laughing at the silly display of the human, and all the more for the similar reaction among the gathered sea peoples. Scorn? Ridicule? In some sense you feel at home with these aquatic folk, for they too clearly share in your disdain of the land walkers. Clearly they only humor Faysal, as some humorous and uncouth distraction from the ordinary.
His confidence never falters though, as he prances about to make such grand proclamations, with such regal command that anyone may at least believe him even if they don't take him seriously. As he paces backwards to you and slaps your belly, you very nearly reduce him to a bloody pulp with one swift pound of your fist. His circular gestures above his head though, cause you to hesitate in confusion just inches short of obliterating the man.
<span class="mu-b">"...oh! Oh right... hurk-HROLK!"</span>
In a gross display perfectly in-style for you, you cough up the Atlantean crown, which Faysal catches in the water before you can. Holding it aloft for all to see with a proud smile, your actions together send a current of silence through the plaza soon to be followed by an uproar of chatter and exclamations.
