You flinch when you hear a gasp behind you. You turn around to see that it's Alexis, who's seeing the same thing you did. Ah.
A trail of blood leads from the bedroom over to the floor right in front of the window. Pointing the flashlight outside of it right as the final bits of your first charge dies out, you see a blood trail going down the fire escape stairs right outside the window. Down into the streets below.
This was a kidnapping if you've ever seen one. And you got a few suspects. Your nerves rush with a mixture of adrenaline, fear, and something else. You look towards the others with a wild grin.
Alexis steps away from you while Lex flashes an equally vicious grin.
"I think we're getting close to solving this job." You murmur to yourself. Alexis relaxes a bit once she realizes why you're grinning.
"Oh thank god. I want to get out of here anyways." Alexis taps her foot against the floor. "Rather not be stuck in this crime scene any longer than I have to."
Seems like the situation is a bit more serious than you would've expected. What's the plan now, Nicole?
>Out the window and follow the blood trail. You'll be rushing in blind but it's the quickest way forward.
>You NEED to talk to those two associates. The notes said they work at the same pharmaceutical store and you got decent blackmail material to make them talk.
>Go to that Ashley's store. If nothing else, you could try asking the staff there where this "warehouse" is. Maybe you'll get some help as well if Ben was trusted there.
>Contact your Handler. You have a question or two to ask. (Free action, though you may need to make a CHARM check depending on what you ask. Write in.)
>Exit the room and tell the Landlord about the crime scene in one of his apartments. You might be able to get him to help you out with your mission, if only to keep your mouth shut.
>Write in.
