>>5740751“Wonder what they're up to...” you mutter, focusing on Perfect Cell's ki then teleporting to his side with Instant Transmission. Only for, just as the room changes, you see a pair of razor-sharp discs hurtling towards you. With only a split second to think you don't even try to block with your Energy Body or catch the disc, instead leaping aside to your left away from Cell.
“Karn?” he says, turning from your children's attacks to you, the two discs slamming into his chest. To the bugman's surprise they both cut through him, the energies slamming into the far wall then to your shock both shatter. Cell starts to fall apart, but then with his arms actually physically holds himself together, pushing his three pieces of himself together until the injuries heal themselves before your eyes.
“DAD!” both Tatsu and Tomi call out simultaneously, the older twins having been the ones firing the discs. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I'm fine.” you say, rising up to your feet. The younger twins run over to you, each one trying to talk at once over their older siblings. So you casually place a hand on each of their heads, ruffling their hair as you address the older twins. “Picking up new techniques?”
“Yes.” the reply in perfect sync, you turning from them to Cell.
“They have been putting in the work over these past couple weeks here.” he replies easily. “Seems three minds are better than one, after all. Now, again!”
“Right!” they call out, both raising their opposite hands overhead, creating another pair of those same spinning, cutting discs. You take the younger twins back, getting well clear as you then turn your attention down to them.
“I'm gonna get that technique soon.” Kayle tells you in a very matter-of-fact tone. Which her brother takes offense to.
“Nu-uh! I'M gonna learn it first!” Maz says, sticking his tongue out at his sister. Who returns the gesture, the two then letting go and running over to their older siblings, both ready to start trying the technique again. You see that and nod, turning towards that unfamiliar ki. Only to see what looks like a miniature Cell, as if he had a child. And to your surprise, see it standing opposite your youngest with its eyes closed.
You watch the two in silence for a moment, watching as your youngest jumps around him, bouncing off the walls and changing directions midair, making as little noise as possible. And that's when you realize you hadn't sensed his ki, he's trying to suppress it! You watch your youngest son bouncing around the junior Cell, who seems completely calm. But then, your son bounces off the corner on the creature's left, changing direction mid-flight and lunging at its back. Only for the miniature Cell to reach up, catching your son's heel in his left palm without opening his eyes.
