"...BWUHHH!"
Spray Guy elevated in a panic, springing up and grasping his shotgun. He pumped it and aimed at the air, looking around with fear, bullets of sweat dripping down his forehead.
"It's alright."
"GH?!"
He turned around quick, aiming right in Catastrovania's face. In an even greater panic, he dropped his shotgun. "S-SHIT! SORRY! I'M SORRY! I-I DIDN'T MEAN TO...!"
He looked around. The place was torn up. Trees were shattered and splintered, fallen down and cut in half. Ground looked like it had been dug up by an entire team of power shovels. Miraculously, the campfire survived. Summers leaned against a tree, still grasping her blade and on the edge. The Greymalkins were huddled up, hugging each other tight as they quivered.
Seannsa and Catastrovania were back to back, tensed and ready for a fight. Catastrovania lowered her sword and sighed.
"They're gone now."
"W-What... what the fuck happened?" Spray Guy stammered; "I was... I.. I don't remember what... I was just... and then everything was suddenly hot like it was on fire! I didn't know what was going on!"
"I jus' saved yer arse from being snuffed innah' Lokas of Thandir. Yew were killed in fronta' our eyes, jus' loik tha'." Seannsa coldly said.
"Mass Produced Demigods... they attacked out of nowhere. We're truly in Shengesia now..." Catastrovania remarked.
Spray Guy looked utterly defeated, dropped to his knees in front of the fire. He had been killed? He could hardly believe it. His body must have been uglier a while ago. The single slash of a Lokapala turned his entire self into a red mist. It was a by a hair's thread that Seannsa's Life Art was able to revive him, bringing him back before he crossed the arbitrary line of death. In a sick way, it was the very fact that his soul had ended up in the Lokas and not the Afterseas which made him only teeter on the edge of Death's precious line.
This was the risks they took as divine and grander beings allowing a mere mortal to walk among them. Jake was the weakest. He was the most vulnerable. He had never felt more useless in his entire life. Anything he could possibly do to help... was really just Seannsa's power in the end as well. She was shouldering all the work.
"..." He grimaced; "...I'm sorry... I couldn't be more useful... I'm... I'm way too out of my league here.... shit man..." He sniffled.
"V-Very scary... nyah..." Hylan mumbled.
"Can only hide behind our lady..." Faeryn continued.
"All we can provide is moral support..." Monroe finished.
The victory they saw over the Invincible had gone to their heads. It blinded them all to the dangers of Shengesia, the dangers of opposing the Trinity, that they now only just got a taste of...
In this land, in which the Emperor's light always shone, nowhere was safe, if you are his enemy.
>Will Seannsa say anything?
>Yes. (Write it.)
>No. Better get to safety, no time to waste.
